Sheena Bora murder accused Peter Mukerjea was admitted to the State-run JJ Hospital on Saturday evening after he complained of chest pain.
The former media baron, who is lodged in the Arthur Road jail, had been complaining of chest pain since the past few days. An ECG was carried out in the jail and the doctors later decided to shift him to the hospital.
According to Dr. Sanjay Surase, medical superintendent of the hospital, medical investigations like blood tests and 2D Echocardiography were being carried out and Mukerjea is likely to undergo angiography on Monday.
“He is admitted in the Intensive Care Unit. His condition is stable”, said Dr. Surase adding that he was under the care of cardiologist Dr. Anil Kumar.
