KCR worships at Srirangam temple

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao visits Sri Ranganathaswamy temple, Sri Rangam, in Tiruchi on Monday.  

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao offered prayers at the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Srirangam on Monday.

Acompanied by two of his party MPs Vinod Kumar and Santhosh Kumar, Mr. Rao spent an hour at the temple.

Mr. Rao, who came by a special flight to Tiruchi on Sunday night, stayed at a hotel and visited the temple in the morning.

Upon arrival in front of the Renga Renga gopuram, Mr. Rao was received by the temple priests.

Thereafter, he went around the shrine in a battery car and offered worship to Lord Ranganatha and at other sannidhis.

Emerging out of the temple, Mr. Rao told the media it was a ''divine visit' and he had a great darshan at the temple. He is scheduled to fly to Chennai by afternoon and is expected to meet DMK president M.K. Stalin this evening.
