Prime Minister Imran Khan’s offer to investigate the Pulwama terror attack is a “lame excuse”, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Tuesday. The response came after the Pakistan leader said that Pakistan would retaliate if India hit terror sources across the border.
“The Prime Minister of Pakistan has offered to investigate the matter if India provides proof. This is a lame excuse...Prime Minister of Pakistan has neither chosen to condemn this heinous act nor condoled with the bereaved families,” stated a press release from MEA.
The war of words between the two sides intensified hours before the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman arrives here as part of his Asia tour where he chose Pakistan as his first destination.
